Pinterest IncPinterest Inc. has hired Amazon.com Inc. finance executive James Dibbo as its next chief financial officer, effective Oct. 26. Dibbo, 56, succeeds Julia Donnelly, who joined the company in 2023 and is expected to depart on Oct. 30 to pursue an opportunity at a private, early-stage company. At Amazon, Dibbo oversaw finance for businesses including Amazon Ads, Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. Pinterest CEO Bill Ready welcomed Dibbo on LinkedIn, calling him an "exceptional finance leader" who brings a wealth of knowledge across consumer technology, shopping and advertising, as well as operational discipline to scaling complex global businesses. The appointment follows Pinterest's second-quarter results, in which revenue of $1.18 billion beat analyst expectations of $1.15 billion and adjusted earnings came in at 43 cents per share versus the 36 cents analysts expected; for the third quarter, Pinterest expects revenue between $1.19 billion and $1.21 billion, roughly around the $1.20 billion analyst consensus, and projects adjusted EBITDA of $335 million to $355 million, up from $311 million in the second quarter.
