AutoZone IncQ4 sales rose 5.6% to $6.6B, EPS up 15.1%, and FY26 sales topped $20B for the first time, with gross margin up 182bps.

AutoZone reported fourth-quarter total sales of $6.6 billion, up 5.6% year over year, lifting fiscal 2026 sales to $20.3 billion, up 7.4% and above $20 billion for the first time. Fourth-quarter diluted EPS came in at $56.05, up 15.1%, on net income of $932 million, up 11.3%, while full-year EPS was $152.55, up 5.3%. The company opened a record 374 new stores in fiscal 2026, the most ever and up from 304 last year, bringing total store count above 8,000, including 1,001 in Mexico and 167 in Brazil. Domestic commercial sales rose 8.6% in the quarter and just under 11% for the year to just under $5.8 billion, while total company same-store sales grew 1.5% in constant currency and domestic DIY comps fell 0.6%. Fourth-quarter gross margin improved 182 basis points to 53.3%, helped by a $96 million, or $4.43 per share, benefit from IEEPA tariff refunds, and free cash flow was $684 million versus $511 million a year earlier.
