Summary · why it matters

The cross-linked collagen implant, also known as collagen fiber filler II, developed by Beijing Aiborui Biotechnology, a controlled subsidiary of Balance Medical, has received registration approval from the National Medical Products Administration. This product is the first cross-linked collagen implant in China, indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis of the nasolabial fold area to correct moderate to severe nasolabial fold wrinkles. Clinical trials showed that the wrinkle correction efficacy after injection was significantly better than the control group, with no adverse events related to immunogenicity. This is the second approved product in Aiborui’s collagen series, following collagen fiber filler I.
