Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited, or BAM, together with the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, or MRTA, have signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, for the welfare asset project 'Baan Phuea (N) Khon Tham-ngan'. The signatories were Mr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, Chief Executive Officer of BAM, and Mr. Kajpholchon Udomthamphakdee, Governor of the MRTA. The collaboration aims to promote housing welfare and improve the quality of life of MRTA personnel by giving them access to quality housing at special prices. Under the agreement, BAM will offer non-performing assets, or NPA, covering detached houses, townhouses, condominiums, commercial buildings and vacant land in various locations nationwide, for MRTA personnel to purchase under special conditions with additional benefits. It also opens the way for personnel with debts under BAM's management to receive consultations, negotiate debt settlements and restructure their debts under appropriate and fair conditions. BAM stated that this collaboration is more than an expansion of housing benefits; it brings together the strengths of both organisations to create opportunities for home ownership alongside opportunities for financial stability, and to improve the quality of life of workers so they can enjoy sustainable security.
