Bangkok Life Assurance reported results for the first six months of 2026 with net profit of 3.603 billion baht, up 6% from the same period last year. Total premiums received were 18.064 billion baht, up 10%, comprising first-year premiums of 3.869 billion baht, up 6%, and renewal premiums of 14.195 billion baht, up 11%. Chone Sophonpanich, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said growth in first-year premiums came from the bancassurance channel, which rose 26%, while the agency channel fell 9% and other channels fell 52%. Investment income was 6.439 billion baht, up 4%, with an investment yield of 4.47%, up from 4.28% in the same period last year. The capital adequacy ratio at the end of the second quarter was 391%, well above the regulatory requirement of 140%.
