Amazon.com IncBOXABL Inc., a modular building company trading on Nasdaq as BXBL, announced the expansion of its project development capabilities by engaging licensed general contracting capability in California, allowing it to bid directly on site work and full-scale developments. The new developer arm gives BOXABL full ownership of projects from factory to finished product, replacing its previous model of overseeing third-party contractors. This change aims to remove a layer of cost and coordination, offer more predictable bundled pricing, improve quality control, and strengthen its competitive position for larger commercial and municipal projects. The company plans to expand this in-house capability to other states as demand warrants, and it has raised over $230 million from more than 50,000 investors since its inception in 2017.
