Casella Waste Systems announced that Damian Ribar will join as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective July 20, 2026, and Shelley Sayward has been promoted from Senior Vice President and General Counsel to Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Ribar, who has more than 30 years of solid waste industry experience, most recently served as Division Vice President of North Florida at Waste Connections, overseeing more than 30 operating locations. Sayward has been with Casella since 2008 and has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel since January 2021, overseeing legal, governmental affairs, engineering, permitting, compliance, and risk management. CEO Ned Coletta said the appointments underscore the depth and strength of the executive leadership team and position the company to continue executing its long-term growth strategy.
