Cathie Wood increased her exposure to Nvidia while trimming Advanced Micro Devices on Tuesday, shifting some AI-chip allocation after a sharp divergence in their stock performances this year, according to ARK Invest trading disclosures. ARK Invest ETFs purchased 329,539 Nvidia shares valued at about $78.8 million and sold 172,541 AMD shares. Nvidia has risen about 22% in 2026, while AMD has advanced 184%, leaving the two holdings with very different recent returns. Nvidia's upcoming Vera Rubin platform is entering customer deployments, and AWS plans to deploy more than 2 million Blackwell Ultra, Rubin and Rubin Ultra GPUs during 2027 and 2028. Nvidia also recently expanded its buyback authorization and is pursuing a deal for Hugging Face, while AMD continues to build its AI business through the Helios platform and an agreement with Anthropic for up to 2 gigawatts of MI450-series GPUs, and is set to acquire World Labs.
