CK Power, or CKP, has won two awards at the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2026 for the fifth consecutive year, reflecting the success of the Firefly project that leverages renewable energy expertise to uplift communities around its power plants. The awards include the Social Empowerment award for the Firefly project on renewable energy for better quality of life and Firefly innovation creating opportunities for communities, and the Green Leadership award for the Waste to Value project under Firefly for conservation, protection, and restoration of natural resources and the environment. The Firefly renewable energy for better quality of life project has expanded access to renewable energy totaling 163,100 watts and educated over 16,000 children and youth. Meanwhile, the Firefly innovation creating opportunities for communities project developed six community products, generating total income of over 2.8 million baht. The Waste to Value project from the Xayaburi hydropower plant managed over 31,333 kilograms of organic waste and produced over 8,472 kilograms of soil conditioner, reducing cumulative greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 10,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent. Managing Director Thanawat Trivisvavet said the awards encourage CKP to continue expanding the project to create ongoing positive impact.
