CVD Equipment CorporationQ2 earnings report shows net income from SDC sale and strong cash position, despite revenue decline.

CVD Equipment Corporation shares gained 3.3% since reporting second-quarter 2026 earnings, outperforming the S&P 500's 0.7% rise. Revenue from continuing operations fell 42.6% to $1.9 million, with a loss from continuing operations of 20 cents per share. Including discontinued operations, net income was $12.6 million, or $1.81 per share, largely reflecting the $17.4 million sale of its SDC division completed April 1. Cash and cash equivalents rose to $23.5 million from $8.7 million at the end of 2025, and the company had no long-term debt. CEO Emmanuel Lakios said the operational restructuring is substantially complete and expected to materially lower fixed operating costs.
