Demco Public Company LimitedSwings to profit with improved cost management and holds 2.7 billion baht backlog.

Demco Public Company Limited, or DEMCO, reported net profit of 30.2 million baht for the first six months of 2026, swinging from a net loss of 7.2 million baht in the same period last year, an improvement of 37.4 million baht. Total revenue was 974.5 million baht after the company moved forward with efficient cost and expense management. Chief Executive Officer Nattapong Korom said the key factor supporting the better first-half performance was total cost management, along with selling and administrative expenses that fell 11.2 percent compared with the same period last year, reflecting the company's efficiency in controlling costs and expenses. DEMCO continues to invest in and develop energy projects, especially renewable energy, and provides electrical system installation and maintenance services to generate recurring income, with key customers including government agencies and large private companies. Main revenue still comes from turnkey engineering, procurement and construction, or EPC, which is recognised according to work progress. The company currently has a backlog of 2,699 million baht, which will be gradually recognised as revenue through 2028. Nattapong said the electrical engineering and construction industry still has growth opportunities from infrastructure and energy investment by both the public and private sectors, especially power system and renewable energy projects, which are important opportunities for the company to expand its work base in the future. DEMCO is also moving forward to build on opportunities from the country's infrastructure investment and the energy transition trend, focusing on transmission lines, substations, renewable energy and modern energy technology, as well as seeking investment opportunities in new businesses to add revenue channels and diversify its revenue base to support long-term growth.
