The purchases form part of a €540 million repurchase program the company began on March 12, 2026, which is split between €40 million to cover commitments under its share-based compensation plans and €500 million to reduce its issued capital. The €40 million share-plan portion was finalized on March 23, 2026, while the €500 million capital-reduction portion is intended to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2026. To date, dsm-firmenich has repurchased 6,662,212 shares under the program at an average price of €73.65, for a total consideration of €490.7 million. The company, an innovator in nutrition, health and beauty, had announced its intention to buy back shares with an aggregate market value of €500 million on February 9, 2026.
