Elastic has nominated Julia Liuson, a veteran Microsoft technology executive, to its Board of Directors, subject to a shareholder vote at the annual general meeting in October 2026. Liuson, who most recently served as President of Microsoft's Developer Division, brings over three decades of experience in software engineering, AI, and developer platforms, including leadership roles with GitHub and the integration of AI through GitHub Copilot. Elastic CEO Ash Kulkarni highlighted her expertise as invaluable as the company positions itself as a critical context layer for AI applications. Separately, Caryn Marooney will not stand for re-appointment as a non-executive director after her term expires in October 2026. Liuson also serves on the boards of Cadence Design Systems and Wanderboat.AI, and is a board observer at Schneider Electric SE.
