Lattice Semiconductor CorporationShares rose on expectations that agentic AI frameworks' heavy reliance on CPUs will boost demand for Lattice Semiconductor's chips.
Entegris and Lattice Semiconductor shares rose in the afternoon session as growing optimism around agentic artificial intelligence and Meta Platforms' Muse application fueled expectations of higher demand for central processing units. Reuters reported that Meta's Muse application has highlighted the specialized hardware needed to support these next-generation workflows, and that while initial generative AI infrastructure prioritized graphics accelerators for model training, agentic frameworks depend heavily on central processing units to coordinate complex operations and manage logic across sequential processes. Entegris jumped 4%, and Lattice Semiconductor jumped 3.7%. Entegris's shares are extremely volatile and have had 56 moves greater than 5% over the last year, and the stock is up 66.9% since the beginning of the year, though at $149.45 per share it is still trading 18.8% below its 52-week high of $184 from June 2026. The previous big move came 8 days ago, when Entegris dropped 7.1% after the chief executives of Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX publicly united to call for a deliberate slowdown in the development of frontier AI models over escalating safety risks.
