EyePoint has appointed Tarek S. Hassan, M.D., as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategic Science Officer. Dr. Hassan, a globally recognized retina specialist with more than 35 years of experience, will report directly to President and CEO Jay S. Duker and serve on the executive leadership team. He will provide strategic guidance across the company's portfolio, including its lead program DURAVYU, an investigational sustained delivery treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. In connection with the hiring, EyePoint granted Dr. Hassan stock options to purchase 100,000 shares as an inducement award. Topline data from Phase 3 wet AMD trials for DURAVYU are expected beginning in mid-2026.
