FTI Consulting Names Barontini and Taglialatela to Lead Italy Restructuring Push

FTI Consulting has appointed Jacopo Barontini as a Senior Managing Director and Head of Turnaround & Restructuring in Italy, joined by Fulvio Taglialatela as a Managing Director, both in the firm's Corporate Finance segment in Milan. Barontini brings more than 30 years of experience in restructuring, corporate finance, distressed M&A and special situations, and was previously Head of Financial Restructuring and Co-Head of Financial & Operational Restructuring in Italy at Alvarez & Marsal after serving as a Partner at Deloitte. Taglialatela, who has more than 20 years of experience in financial restructuring, turnaround and debt restructuring advisory across real estate, hospitality, consumer products, automotive and energy, was most recently a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal and previously worked at Deloitte and PwC. The appointments follow the recent addition of Dr. Riccardo Siliprandi in the Milan office to lead FTI Consulting's Energy practice in Italy. FTI Consulting, which reported $3.8 billion in revenues during fiscal year 2025 and has more than 8,100 employees in 32 countries and territories as of June 30, 2026, said the hires strengthen its ability to take on larger and more complex mandates in Italy and cross-border engagements.
