IBM's board of directors has elected Frank Baker to the board, effective October 1, 2026. Baker, 53, is a co-founder and managing partner of Siris Capital Group, a private equity firm that has deployed more than $9 billion of equity capital since inception across technology, telecommunications, and data-focused companies. IBM chairman, president and chief executive officer Arvind Krishna said he looked forward to the perspective and insight Baker will bring as the company advances its long-term vision and drives enterprise-wide transformation through technology. Baker oversees Siris' portfolio and leads its investment strategy, and previously was a managing director at Ripplewood Holdings after beginning his career in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago.
