On September 2, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation held the world premiere of the all-new Pajero in Tokyo, marking the first full model change in 20 years. Initially planned as a PPV (pickup passenger vehicle) based on the Thai-produced Triton pickup truck, the development direction shifted during the process. While the ladder frame and engine utilize Triton technology, they were newly developed exclusively for the new Pajero. The design, guided by the keywords 'dignity, refinement, and purity,' modernizes the heritage of previous Pajero models. Additionally, with the new Pajero as the flagship, Mitsubishi plans to expand its domestic dealership network.
