Mitsubishi Motors reported a nearly 13% year-on-year decline in global production to 65,646 vehicles in May 2026. Production in Japan dropped over 14% to 33,653 units, while overseas output fell 11.5% to 31,993 units. Sales in Japan, including imports, fell 4.9% to 8,128 units, and exports from Japan slipped 1% to 18,934 units, with North American shipments at 15,076 units. For the first five months of the year, global production rose 5.6% to 388,031 vehicles, recovering from a nearly 9% decline a year earlier.
