Northern Trust Corporation announced that Chief Financial Officer Dave Fox will retire, remaining in his role through the end of the first quarter of 2027 to support an orderly transition. The company plans to conduct a comprehensive internal and external search for its next Chief Financial Officer, and Fox is expected to continue leading Finance and working closely with chairman and chief executive officer Michael O'Grady and the leadership team to ensure continuity across financial, regulatory, investor and strategic priorities. Fox joined Northern Trust in 2012 and previously served as President of Global Family and Private Investment Offices and Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas for Corporate & Institutional Services; as CFO he has overseen global financial strategy, functions and operations including Treasury, Controllership, Corporate Tax, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, Capital Management, and Management Reporting, Planning and Analysis. Before joining Northern Trust, he spent more than 25 years at JPMorgan in New York, London and Chicago. Northern Trust, founded in Chicago in 1889, reported assets under custody/administration of US$20.0 trillion and assets under management of US$2.0 trillion as of June 30, 2026.
