NVIDIA CorporationNvidia unveiled a record $150 billion buyback authorization increase, bringing total authorization to $235 billion

Nvidia shares are on track to surge 17% in the third quarter, which officially closes today, far outpacing the S&P 500's 4.3% gain for the same period, with the stock now up 23% year to date. The quarter's rally came as CEO Jensen Huang maintained a relentless public presence through an earnings call, media interviews, tech conferences, and dinner and lunch events with President Trump. The company also unveiled a stunning $150 billion stock buyback plan on Monday, the largest share repurchase authorization increase in history, bringing Nvidia's total buyback authorization to $235 billion. On the latest August earnings call, Huang said he sees 70% revenue growth for fiscal year 2028, above analyst forecasts for 45% growth, and noted the sales gain would exceed 100% if not for memory chip shortages. Huang also reiterated at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Tech conference this month his expectation that the AI market will reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion by 2030, a prediction he first made at the same event a year ago.
