In Omron's first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, the healthcare business emerged as a second pillar after the control equipment business, with home blood pressure monitors doubling operating profit year on year. The control equipment business posted external revenue of 131.2 billion yen, up 37.2 percent year on year, and operating profit of 21.3 billion yen, up 100.8 percent, while the healthcare business recorded external revenue of 36.4 billion yen, up 16.7 percent, and operating profit of 2.4 billion yen, up 101.7 percent, slightly outpacing the control equipment business in growth rate.
