Oracle and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging are collaborating to advance research into age-related disease and support discoveries that can extend the healthy years of life. Buck will leverage Oracle Life Sciences Data Intelligence, which encompasses 122 million+ de-identified longitudinal Oracle Health Real-World Data records and advanced analytics, to research biomarkers aimed at enabling early detection and targeted intervention for aging-related complications. The research will also be used to pursue qualification for the first FDA-grade "Intrinsic Capacity Score," a vitality score for healthy aging. The Buck Institute serves as one of the analytics and bioinformatics engines for the Stanford University-led Transforming Health: Reclaiming Intrinsic Vitality for Everyone (THRIVE) consortium, which is a component of the PROactive Solutions for Prolonging Resilience (PROSPR) program from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Using Oracle Life Sciences Data Intelligence, researchers at Buck Institute aim to construct patient cohorts and apply advanced analytics to decades of longitudinal health records to identify subtle clinical changes that may indicate frailty or chronic disease years before onset, and plan to build a statistically validated model capable of predicting which patients are at greatest risk and when.
Apple unveils Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 with new health features
Apple has announced its most advanced health and fitness experience yet, introducing the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 with a new Health Sensing System that delivers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable, along with a redesigned Health app powered by Apple Intelligence. The new watches measure heart rate every five seconds and HRV as often as every five minutes, 24 times more frequently, and introduce a readiness score from 0 to 10 with recommendations like Recover or Go For It. The redesigned Health app, coming later this year with iOS 27, adds an Insights tab and a Longevity tab featuring Health Age, which compares users' metrics to their chronological age. Users can also schedule and purchase lab tests covering over 50 biomarkers for $119 at approximately 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations in the U.S., and new movement assessments use the iPhone camera and Apple Watch for at-home evaluations. The watches also support perimenopause and menopause tracking, and watchOS 27 will be available starting September 14 for Apple Watch Series 9 or later, Apple Watch SE 3, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later.
TPOC points to global health market of 6.7 trillion dollars boosting Thai herbs
The Trade Policy and Strategy Office revealed that health care and anti-aging trends will push global consumer spending on medical goods and services to as high as 6.7 trillion US dollars by 2040, more than doubling compared with the past 15 years. In 2025, Thailand's retail value in the herbal product group was 1.3575 billion US dollars, ranking 11th in the world, and is expected to reach 1.8364 billion US dollars by 2030. Consumers are willing to pay at least 20 percent more if products have scientific test results to support them. The Trade Policy and Strategy Office proposed four urgent strategies: upgrading agricultural extracts to the medical level, penetrating everyday products and personalized nutrition, integrating technology for personalized health care, and linking the service ecosystem with health tourism under the Agri-Wellness Synergy concept to transform Thailand's agricultural sector into a health economy.
Insilico Medicine Launches Virtual Aging Cell Platform
Insilico Medicine has launched its Virtual Aging Cell webpage and previewed a multi-agent driven platform that uses biological age as a core condition for simulating cellular dynamics. The platform deploys agent swarms across six biological scales—molecular, intracellular, intercellular, tissue, organ, and organism—to model differentiation, reprogramming, and aging, aiming to support target identification and drug discovery. The launch follows a decade of work including the PreciousGPT model series, with the company noting it has nominated 33 preclinical candidates since 2021, 13 of which have received IND approvals or clearances. Insilico will present further details at the ARDD 2026 conference in Boston.

Merz Aesthetics Partners with NSTDA's Nanotec to Research Aesthetic Longevity, Pushing Thailand as a Global Beauty Hub
Merz Aesthetics and the National Nanotechnology Center under NSTDA have signed a research collaboration on Aesthetic Longevity to elevate Thailand's beauty industry into a global hub. The goal is to transition from being a user of foreign innovations to a standard-setter and knowledge creator, supporting Thailand's health economy market valued at 1.4 trillion baht under the Thailand Global Health Hub 2025 to 2034 strategy. This partnership will leverage Nanotec's cellular-level research platforms, such as telomere analysis and epigenetic clock, together with Merz's technologies to generate scientific evidence that meets the needs of modern consumers who seek in-depth information before deciding on beauty services. Both parties view evidence-driven approaches as the key to market competition, enabling physicians to plan personalized treatments with greater precision and safety.
Animal Longevity Summit to hold first global scientific forum on healthy aging in animals
The Animal Longevity Summit has announced its inaugural two-day scientific conference, taking place October 1–2, 2026, in Toronto. The event will bring together leading experts in geroscience, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, and aging research to explore how the biology of aging can be measured, slowed, and translated into longer, healthier lives, beginning with animals. The summit arrives as landmark initiatives such as the Dog Aging Project and a growing number of veterinary clinical trials generate the first large-scale datasets on interventions to improve healthspan and longevity in companion animals. The conference program will feature eight scientific tracks covering canine longevity, comparative biology of aging, biomarkers, longevity interventions, veterinary geroscience, cross-species translation to human health, and emerging research from early-career scientists. The inaugural speaker lineup includes Dr. Matt Kaeberlein of the Dog Aging Project, Dr. Vera Gorbunova of the University of Rochester, Dr. Aubrey de Grey of the LEV Foundation, Dr. Varun Dwaraka of TruDiagnostic, Liz Parrish of BioViva, and Dr. Raghav Sehgal of Yale, with additional speakers to be announced. Industry participation is also expected, with Genflow Biosciences confirming it will present new findings from its SLAB study investigating gene therapy in aged beagles.
