Otis Worldwide Corporation has launched its Gen3 MOD elevator modernisation solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The offering allows building owners to upgrade existing elevators to the digitally native Otis Gen3 platform, improving safety, reliability and passenger experience. The solutions are suitable for elevators already equipped with belts and provide options to transition rope-based systems to Otis' patented coated steel belt technology. Three flexible packages—Plus, Pro and Full Replacement—let customers choose the scope and pace of modernisation, with the Pro package currently available only in Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland. The Gen3 MOD solutions are compatible with Otis Viva features that enhance accessibility for aging populations and incorporate technologies such as the Otis ONE IoT platform for predictive maintenance and the Otis ReGen drive for energy recapture.
