S&P Global Inc. has launched a fixed-income exchange offer for US$600 million of 4.250% notes due 2031 and US$400 million of 4.800% notes due 2035, while also announcing leadership changes including the planned year-end 2026 retirement of Chief Legal Officer Steven Kemps. The company is reshaping its Market Intelligence unit into Kensho Data & Platforms and Enterprise Solutions, a move that could influence how it develops and delivers data, analytics, and workflow tools for institutional clients. The reorganization sits at the center of S&P Global's data and analytics growth story, raising the question of whether this structure helps the company translate its AI and workflow investments into higher value products quickly enough to justify ongoing spending. S&P Global's narrative projects US$17.3 billion revenue and US$5.8 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 3.2% yearly revenue growth and about a US$1.0 billion earnings increase from US$4.8 billion today. Continued strength in equity and debt issuance remains a key pillar behind many expectations for the company's performance.
Bundesliga Names ServiceNow Official CRM Partner as 89% of Fan Queries Resolve at First Contact
Bundesliga has selected ServiceNow as its Official CRM Partner, expanding ServiceNow's existing role as Official Workflow Partner for the German top professional football league. Since implementing ServiceNow Customer Service Management in August 2026, Bundesliga has consolidated fan services from seven digital channels onto a single platform, where 89% of fan enquiries are now resolved at first contact. The number of fan cases created has fallen by more than 50% since the season start, even though seven intake channels now run on a single platform instead of five, a result Bundesliga attributes to automation of recurring enquiries and a centralized knowledge base. Bundesliga and ServiceNow plan to extend the platform beyond fan services to additional stakeholders and processes across the Bundesliga ecosystem, including digital workflows for external service providers, partners and clubs, plus a centralized club portal. Bastian Zuber, Chief Product & Technology Officer of Bundesliga Media, said the platform has transformed fan engagement and brought the league closer to its vision of becoming the world's most fan-centric sports league, while Paul Fipps, President of Global Customer Operations at ServiceNow, said Bundesliga is resolving 89% of fan inquiries on first contact by connecting the entire customer experience on one intelligent platform.
Meta Launches Enterprise Platform, Triggering Selloff in Software Stocks
Meta Platforms launched the Meta Enterprise Platform on September 28 as a new business pillar built around its AI technology stack, giving businesses and developers access to tools including the Meta Business Agent, Muse Code, Muse Agent, and Muse API. The market read the move as a competitive threat to enterprise software, sending the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF down 2%, ServiceNow down 5%, monday.com down 7%, and MongoDB down 25%. Meta recruited MongoDB CEO Chirantan "CJ" Desai to lead the initiative, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg pointed to Desai's background in full-stack software, security, AI, infrastructure, and business applications. The announcement also dragged down Microsoft by 2%, Salesforce by 4.5%, Oracle by 3%, Adobe by 4%, Figma by 6%, and SAP by 3%. Meta has tried enterprise before, having fully decommissioned its Workplace product in May 2026 after a decade, though recent SaaS results cut against the idea that AI automatically destroys software demand, with MongoDB growing revenue 30% in its latest quarter and raising guidance while ServiceNow's subscription revenue climbed 24.5%.

Citi Names Box, Navan and Appian Top Application Software Picks, Downgrades Dropbox to Sell
Citi has updated its rankings for U.S. application software stocks, naming Box, Navan and Appian as its reiterated top picks while downgrading Dropbox to Sell. The investment bank said it is prioritizing companies with clear acceleration paths supported by differentiated artificial intelligence strategies that analysts believe remain underappreciated by the market. Citi also made adjustments to other coverage names, including Manhattan Associates and Workday, due to valuation concerns. The bank noted it continues to favor infrastructure-like names where consumption-driven monetization potential exists, a description it applied to all three of its top picks. The rankings update follows recent adjustments to earnings estimates and valuations, with Citi reassessing the back office software landscape.

U.S. investment firm Bain Capital and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC are considering an initial public offering or a sale to a third party for WHI Holdings, which operates human resources management systems, aiming for a valuation of more than 500 billion yen, according to two people familiar with the matter. The two firms have begun approaching advisors, potential buyers and investors as part of the process, the people said, with a listing in the Japanese market under consideration as one option, along with a sale to operating companies or other funds.
