Micron Technology IncMicron is the subject of the upcoming Sept. 30 earnings test, with Street expecting $31.62 EPS and over 350% revenue growth, but no actual result is reported yet.
SanDisk has climbed more than 600% this year, and its next big test comes when Micron Technology reports earnings on Sept. 30. SanDisk shares fell more than 3% in Monday premarket trading as semiconductor companies declined after OpenAI halted training and testing of some sophisticated AI models to improve safety. The Street expects Micron to post adjusted earnings of $31.62 per share, up from $3.03 last year, on revenue growth of over 350% to $51.19 billion. Micron and SanDisk serve separate memory markets, with SanDisk more exposed to NAND flash and storage while Micron is more exposed to AI infrastructure DRAM and high-bandwidth memory, though investors may still use Micron's outlook for memory cycle indications on pricing, inventories, and data center, PC, and smartphone demand. Rosenblatt Securities analyst Kevin Cassidy initiated coverage with a Buy rating and $2,400 target, Bernstein analyst Mark Newman has a $3,000 target, and SanDisk carries 15 Buy and 2 Hold ratings on Wall Street with an average price target of $2,195.29, 23.5% above its analytical price, according to TipRanks, which also cites $94 billion in NBM contracts with key hyperscalers.
