Starlake Bioscience Co Inc Zhaoqing GuangdongIntensive executive turnover (GM and deputy GM resignations, chairman and GM both in acting capacity) amid a 91.54% year-on-year collapse in net profit.

Star Lake Bioscience announced on September 24 that director and general manager Yan Xiaolin resigned from his positions as director, general manager, and member of the board's strategic development and ESG committee and nomination committee for personal reasons. After his resignation, he will not hold any position in the company or its controlled subsidiaries. Until a new general manager is appointed, director Chen Wu will act in the role of general manager. Earlier, on September 21, deputy general manager Yan Xiaolong had already resigned for personal reasons and will no longer hold any position in the company or its controlled subsidiaries. On May 19 this year, former chairman Liu Libin resigned due to job transfer, and on May 27 the board elected Chen Wu to act as chairman and legal representative. As a result, the company's two core positions of chairman and general manager are both currently in an acting capacity. Behind the intensive executive changes is a sharp decline in performance. The 2026 interim report shows that the company achieved operating revenue of 8.189 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a slight year-on-year increase of 0.36 percent, but net profit attributable to the parent company was only 70.7186 million yuan, down 91.54 percent year-on-year. Net profit after deducting non-recurring items was 55.2846 million yuan, down 93.14 percent year-on-year. The company said this was mainly due to the impact of market supply and demand, with sales prices of major products declining. Star Lake Bioscience operates in the biological fermentation industry, with main products including animal nutrition amino acids, food additives, plant nutrition organic fertilizers, and pharmaceutical intermediates. As of the close on September 24, Star Lake Bioscience reported 4.12 yuan per share, down 1.20 percent.
