Thailand's brokerage business staged a strong recovery in the first half of 2026, swinging back to a combined net profit of 5.369 billion baht, supported by gains in the Thai stock market and brisk trading value, along with higher commission income from both Thai and foreign equities. Shares in the securities sector rose 13% on average, with the strongest performer gaining as much as 46%. The report said the first-half turnaround to profit stemmed from the recovery of the SET Index and solid trading volume throughout the first half of the year.
