The board of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, or THAI, passed a resolution at a special board meeting suspending Chai Eamsiri from his position as chief executive officer. The suspension follows problems at Suvarnabhumi Airport involving delayed flights and large numbers of unclaimed baggage. Chai stated that he will remain a company director until his employment contract expires on January 31, 2027. Chai Eamsiri officially began serving as chief executive officer of THAI on February 1, 2023, and in April 2025 he was also appointed a director of the company, holding three key positions at THAI: director, secretary to the board, and chief executive officer.
