Unity Software IncSells Supersonic publishing business for $40M cash, divesting a growth asset

Tripledot Studios has acquired the Supersonic publishing business from Unity for a cash consideration of $40 million, subject to certain post-closing adjustments. Supersonic is a leading mobile game publisher in the hybrid-casual space, having published more than 150 games with over 6 billion downloads since its inception. The acquisition gives Tripledot broader exposure to the fast-growing hybrid-casual gaming segment and complements its existing publishing operations through Lion Studios. Supersonic will continue to operate as a standalone business within the Tripledot Group under its own brand, led by its existing management team and based in Tel Aviv. The deal also marks Tripledot's first expansion into Israel, providing access to local talent in the mobile games industry.
