JBS N.V.Leadership change and Q2 results with net loss and lower EBITDA.

Wesley Batista is returning as group CEO of meat giant JBS in January, restoring leadership under the controlling family shareholders. Current chief Gilberto Tomazoni will step down to become vice chairman of the board and a senior adviser. Batista, who currently leads JBS USA, previously served as global CEO until he was suspended by court order in 2016 amid insider-trading investigations; when those investigations emerged, he was replaced by his father and founder Batista Sobrinho in 2017, and Tomazoni then took on the group CEO role the following year. The leadership change was announced alongside second-quarter results showing a net loss of $102 million on sales of $23.9 billion, with adjusted EBITDA down 18% to $1.43 billion and an EPS loss of $0.10.
