Winner Medical, or WINMED, presented innovations and technologies in transfusion medicine at the Hospital Blood Bank 2026 academic conference. A highlight was a special lecture by Associate Professor Wing Commander Dr. Parichart Permpikul on the application of Pathogen Inactivation technology to enhance the safety of blood components. WINMED provides the INTERCEPT Blood System, which can inactivate and destroy pathogens in platelets before they are used to treat patients, helping to reduce the risk of transfusion-transmitted infections and elevate the standards of Thai blood banks to international levels. The event was held at the S.D. Avenue Hotel in Bangkok.
