JDI Announces Elimination of Negative Net Worth, Paving Way to Maintain Listing

Japan Display announced on the 10th that its net assets stood at 3.631 billion yen as of the end of June, eliminating its negative net worth. The improvement came as capital was strengthened through the partial exercise of share warrants by its top shareholder, investment fund Ichigo Trust. Net assets had been negative 7.412 billion yen at the end of March. If the negative net worth had not been resolved by the end of March 2027, the company risked violating the Tokyo Stock Exchange's listing maintenance criteria and facing delisting, but this announcement has paved the way for maintaining its listing.
