Juneyao Health hits daily limit 8 minutes after WeChat post; company says timing was indeed coincidental

In late trading on September 29, the beverage and dairy sector strengthened, with Juneyao Health hitting the daily limit, while Royal Group, Yangyuan Beverage, and Zhuangyuan Pasture also rose. Juneyao Health, whose main business is probiotic health foods and beverages, began to rally around 2:25 p.m., surging straight to the daily limit on several large orders. At 2:24 p.m., the company's official WeChat account published an article about a human clinical study of the J26 Lactobacillus plantarum strain, saying the research had been published in a Nature-affiliated journal and had become the world's first self-developed single strain to complete a randomized controlled trial on weight loss and muscle gain in people with metabolic syndrome. After the intervention, the J26 group showed a significant decrease in fat mass and a significant increase in muscle mass. After the market close, Dazhong Securities News sought confirmation from Juneyao Health's securities department on whether the share price movement was related to the WeChat article. A company staff member said the article was posted by the marketing department and that the timing was indeed coincidental, but that this could not be equated with a definite link between the two. In its 2026 interim report, Juneyao Health described the J26 probiotic as a star strain, but did not disclose sales of related products. The company posted losses for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025, with cumulative losses of 219 million yuan. In the first half of this year, net profit attributable to the parent company fell 39.74 percent year on year to 4.4991 million yuan. A research note from Guotai Haitong pointed out that the probiotic raw material segment has high added value, with strains being the key to pricing, and that domestic companies' research efforts are expected to promote local substitution.

Juneyao Health 2026 Interim Report: Revenue Up 9.43%, Net Profit Down 39.74%

Juneyao Health released its 2026 interim report on August 26. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of 839 million yuan, up 9.43% year on year, but net profit attributable to the parent company was 45 million yuan, down 39.74% year on year, and non-GAAP net profit was 14 million yuan, down 18.05% year on year. Total profit surged 274.32% year on year, mainly thanks to improved operations at the controlling subsidiary Doctor Daily, but because of the parent company's shareholding ratio, this was not fully converted into net profit attributable to shareholders. Net cash flow from operating activities was negative 109 million yuan, with the net outflow slightly narrower than the same period last year. The decline in performance was mainly due to falling profits in the traditional ambient lactic acid bacteria business, as well as e-commerce investment that drove selling expenses up 38.95% year on year to 224 million yuan, while financial expenses rose sharply by 466.13% due to increased foreign exchange losses. The company is transforming from a traditional food and beverage manufacturer into a health science enterprise. Probiotic beverages, probiotic foods, and other beverages together contributed about 648 million yuan in main business revenue, of which probiotic food revenue was 182 million yuan and commodity supply chain business revenue was 186 million yuan.
605388.CG · Capital · Negative Interim report shows net profit down 39.74% and non-GAAP profit down 18.05%, with falling traditional lactic acid bacteria profits and surging selling/financial expenses.
每日博士 · Capital · Positive Improved operations at controlling subsidiary Doctor Daily drove total profit up 274.32%, though parent's shareholding ratio limited conversion to net profit.

Raw milk cycle reversal signals emerge as dairy sector stocks surge

The dairy sector saw a broad rally on July 29, with Huanlejia hitting the 20 percent daily limit, Knight Dairy surging over 18 percent, Pinwo Food and Panda Dairy rising more than 10 percent, and JuneYao Health, Sanyuan Foods, and Liziyuan among multiple stocks hitting their daily limits. A research report from China Securities shows that the dairy cow herd stood at 5.772 million head in June, down 22,000 head month-on-month, maintaining a rapid pace of destocking. Recently, bulk milk prices have risen in many regions, and the interplay of beef and milk prices is driving a positive turn in the raw milk cycle. Kaiyuan Securities notes that from 2024 to 2025, the national dairy cow herd cumulatively destocked about 550,000 head, and by the end of the second quarter of 2026, the Holstein cow herd further declined to 5.794 million head, with the pace of capacity reduction accelerating. At the same time, yield per cow growth is slowing. In the first half of 2026, raw milk output rose 2.4 percent year-on-year, while dairy product output increased 6.0 percent. On the pricing front, bulk milk prices are leading the gains, with contract prices following. Bulk milk purchase prices in major producing areas have risen sharply, with current mainstream prices at 2.8 to 3.1 yuan per kilogram, and in tight supply areas reaching 3.2 to 3.5 yuan per kilogram. Contract milk prices have turned positive year-on-year. On July 24, the fresh milk price in major producing areas was 3.06 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3 percent month-on-month and 1.0 percent year-on-year, with clear bottoming signals. Aijian Securities points out that dairy products represent the clearest direction of improvement in fund holdings in the second quarter. Active equity funds' combined holdings of Yili Group, New Hope Dairy, Youran Dairy, and China Modern Dairy increased by 12.3 percent, 18.7 percent, 17.3 percent, and 17.8 percent quarter-on-quarter, respectively. Kaiyuan Securities believes that supply contraction, price stabilization, and initial profit verification are largely in place, and raw milk reversal signals are gradually emerging. The industry may be transitioning from a left-side bottoming phase to a right-side confirmation phase. The upstream segment will benefit first with significant earnings elasticity, with a focus on Youran Dairy. The downstream competitive environment is improving and leading companies are regaining market share, with attention on New Hope Dairy and Yili Group.
