BIOTEC expects Q3 2026 growth on surging B100 demand after expanding Rayong plant capacity
Bio Green Energy Tech Public Company Limited, or BIOTEC, expects its third-quarter 2026 results to grow from the same period a year earlier, according to Managing Director Rungnirun Tangsurakit, driven by rising demand for B100 biodiesel and by palm output prices that remain high amid Middle East conflict, which has helped domestic biodiesel selling prices hold at healthy levels. For its 2026 performance, the company expects standout growth after posting a first-half profit of about 97.86 million baht, higher than its full-year 2025 profit of 29.32 million baht. Roughly 96.47% of revenue comes from the production and sale of biodiesel and glycerine, with another 3.53% from shipping. The company also benefits from government policy promoting a blend of about 7% palm oil in diesel, or B7, and has raised capacity at its biodiesel plant in Rayong province from about 9 million litres per month by roughly 35% to around 12 million litres per month, with the new capacity to be fully recognised in 2026. Its financial position remains strong, with the debt-to-equity ratio improving to 1.08 times from about 1.50 times in 2025, and the latest current ratio rising to 0.71 times.
