Adobe Analytics forecasts consumers will spend $10 billion during Amazon's Oct. 6-7 Prime Day event, an early catalyst ahead of what Adobe expects to be a record U.S. online holiday season. Online holiday spending is projected to climb 6.7% from last year to $275.1 billion, with October spending alone reaching $95.8 billion, an 8% year-over-year increase. Adobe forecasts more than $15 billion on Cyber Monday and $47.5 billion during Cyber Week, equivalent to 17.3% of projected holiday-season online spending, while Black Friday is expected to generate $12.9 billion, up 9.2% from last year. Adobe said Amazon's Prime Day has helped reshape the season by creating another major shopping spike before the traditional holiday period, forcing retailers to adjust promotions and inventory earlier. Electronics are expected to be particularly important, with Adobe expecting Apple's AirPods Pro 4 and iPhone 18 Pro and Duo, Google's Pixel 11, Meta's AI glasses and Samsung's Galaxy S26 and Z Fold 8 to rank among popular products, alongside gaming hardware including Nintendo Switch 2, Sony's PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, and Microsoft's Xbox Series X.
