Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company LimitedFire and electrical-system damage forced BEM to suspend MRT service between Bang O and Kamphaeng Phet, disrupting operations.

Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited, or BEM, announced that the MRT has temporarily suspended service at all stations following a fire along the railway alignment between Tao Poon station and Bang Pho station. Emergency teams and relevant agencies are urgently investigating and managing the situation, with passenger safety as the top priority. BEM later added that the incident affected parts of the electrical system, making it necessary to temporarily close service from Bang O station to Kamphaeng Phet station. The company advises passengers who must travel through the affected area to consider using nearby MRT stations or plan alternative routes, as services may be delayed by up to about 60 minutes. BEM apologised to passengers for the inconvenience and said staff are working urgently to restore normal service as soon as possible.
