HD Hyundai Heavy Industries reported a fatal industrial accident at its Panel Factory within the Gunsan Shipyard. A worker was caught between a lug and a lug attachment machine on Friday, prompting the Gunsan Branch of the Gwangju Regional Office of Employment and Labor to issue a partial work suspension order for all assembly lines of the Panel Factory. The company said special safety training for all employees and measures to prevent recurrence will be implemented, and an on-site investigation by police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor is underway.
