Many banks are trading at or slightly above a price-to-book value of one times, which may require analysts to upgrade earnings estimates and P/BV targets. Meanwhile, consistently high dividend payouts could result in lower dividend yields as share prices rise, causing stocks to consolidate after pricing in positive factors and absorbing significant fund inflows.
