Teva Pharma Industries Ltd ADRTurkey's Competition Authority opened an antitrust probe into Teva's patent practices and alleged restriction of market entry.

Turkey's Competition Authority has opened an investigation into whether Teva Pharmaceutical violated competition laws by restricting market entry through patent practices and other methods. The regulator, known as Rekabet Kurumu, said the probe began in early August after a preliminary inquiry into the company's divisional patent practices and alleged misleading characterization of rival products' efficacy and safety. The investigation targets Teva subsidiaries Teva İlaçları San. ve Tic. AŞ and Teva Pharmaceuticals Europe B.V., as well as parent company Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. The regulator did not specify which treatment is involved, and Teva did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
