Chongqing Zhifei Bio ProductsNMPA accepted the supplementary application to extend its split influenza vaccine to children aged 6-35 months, potentially broadening the approved population.

Chongqing Zhifei Biological Products announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical has had its self-developed split influenza virus vaccine supplementary application accepted by the National Medical Products Administration, planning to add children aged 6-35 months to the currently approved population of those aged 3 years and above. The vaccine was approved for market in September 2025. If the supplementary application is approved, it will form an influenza vaccine series covering all age groups together with the company's already marketed quadrivalent influenza vaccine and its adjuvanted influenza vaccine under development. The company cautioned that the supplementary application must go through technical review, clinical trial site inspections and other procedures, and that the review progress and outcome are uncertain, with no significant impact on near-term performance.
