The Expressway Authority of Thailand, under the Ministry of Transport, has announced an extension of the toll waiver introduced as an emergency measure due to the flood situation. The waiver, originally set to run from 1:00 p.m. on 26 September 2026 until midnight on 27 September 2026, will now continue until midnight on 29 September 2026 in order to ease the hardship of the public and facilitate travel. The measure covers all eight expressways: Chaloem Maha Nakhon Expressway, Si Rat Expressway, Chalong Rat Expressway, Burapha Withi Expressway, Udon Ratthaya Expressway, Bang Na–At Narong Expressway or S1, Kanchanaphisek Expressway, and Prachim Ratthaya Expressway. The Expressway Authority of Thailand, together with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited, or BEM, is deploying staff to manage and facilitate traffic along the entire routes, while closely monitoring the situation. The public is urged to keep following updates on affected expressway entrances and exits so they can plan and choose their routes.
