Several banks and financial institutions announced the temporary closure of some branches on 26 September 2026 due to flooding in Bangkok, its surrounding provinces, and some other provinces. Government Savings Bank announced temporary closures of branches in several districts under its responsibility, including six branches in Phra Khanong district, seven in Khlong Chan district, and six in Min Buri district, noting that the announcement covers only certain areas under its responsibility and that information on branches in other areas will be announced gradually. Meanwhile, Krungthai Bank temporarily closed branches in Bangkok and surrounding areas, covering Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, and Pathum Thani. Siam Commercial Bank, or SCB, announced the temporary closure of 43 branches in Bangkok, the surrounding provinces, and the eastern region, with customers able to use the SCB EASY app, ATMs, and CDM machines as usual. Kasikorn Bank said a total of 24 branches in Bangkok and surrounding areas were temporarily closed, according to the latest information as of 12:30. TMBThanachart Bank, or TTB, announced the temporary closure of branches in Bangkok and surrounding areas from 15:00 on 26 September 2026, and will reopen on 27 September 2026, with customers able to carry out transactions through the TTB Touch app as usual.
