NIQ Adds AI and Automation to Spaceman Retail Merchandising Platform
NielsenIQ announced new AI and automation capabilities for NIQ Spaceman, its retail space planning and merchandising platform used by more than 600 retailers across 65+ countries. The enhancements let retailers create store-specific planograms up to 50 times faster, identify execution and compliance gaps, and scale merchandising decisions across their store networks through expanded cloud-based access. NIQ Optiq brings conversational AI into Spaceman, allowing merchandising teams to create and optimize planograms through natural-language requests, while automation supports localized store-specific planograms at scale and AI-powered compliance measurement reduces manual audits. Natalie Williams, SVP of Product at NIQ, said the enhancements embed agentic AI directly into merchandising workflows so teams can spend less time building and updating planograms and more time acting on opportunities. NIQ, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NIQ, said the investments reflect its broader commitment to embedding trusted AI across retail workflows and delivering cloud-enabled solutions that move retailers from planning to execution.

NIQ Integrates Google's Meridian MMM Into NIQ Cadence Platform
NIQ has expanded its relationship with Google by integrating Meridian, Google's open-source Marketing Mix Modeling framework, into NIQ Cadence, NIQ's AI-native marketing effectiveness operating system. The company said the integration gives marketers a single place to measure marketing performance and act on it, shortening the distance between insights and optimization. NIQ cited its latest CMO Report, in which 74% of CMOs said they were under more scrutiny to prove marketing ROI while just 9% felt they had adequate access to real-time insights, an actionability gap of 65 points that NIQ Cadence was built to close. Under the integration, NIQ's proprietary global data and a marketer's own inputs flow into the Meridian model, the model runs inside NIQ Cadence, and results move directly into scenario planning, optimization and ongoing performance monitoring. Jason Tate, General Manager of Marketing Effectiveness at NIQ, said marketing leaders do not need another standalone model but a faster path from insight to action. NIQ has been a certified Meridian partner since 2025, and the company said the integration extends Meridian from a measurement methodology into an ongoing marketing effectiveness workflow.

NIQ Launches Amazon Third-Party Measurement for Health & Beauty
NielsenIQ has launched Amazon third-party marketplace measurement for all Health & Beauty Care categories, integrating Amazon 3P data into its existing retail measurement alongside Amazon first-party data. In the United States, third-party sellers on Amazon generated approximately $56 billion in Health and Beauty sales, representing 24% of tracked omnichannel category sales, and account for nearly 68% of total Amazon Health and Beauty Care sales, according to NIQ data for the 52-week period ending August 8, 2026. The offering is now live on the NIQ Discover platform and marks another milestone in NIQ's broader Full View strategy, following the earlier announcement of Amazon third-party measurement as a foundational component of the forthcoming NIQ Beauty Channel. Jacqueline Flam, Managing Director, Beauty and Health at NIQ, said the third-party marketplace is where many of today's fastest-growing Health and Beauty brands gain traction yet has remained one of the industry's largest measurement blind spots. NIQ said the data lets brands identify emerging competitors and demand shifts sooner and make more informed decisions on innovation, pricing, and growth.
