SJWD hits record profit, raises cheap cash, and rides freight and port upside

  • Record Q2 profit and AI/data-centre warehouse demand SJWD reported a record quarterly net profit of 463 million baht, up 64% from a year earlier, with revenue up 9.7%. Its general warehouses are benefiting from Thailand's AI and data-centre supply chain, storing about 25,000 pallets of such goods, expected to rise another 30% within a year. This strong demand supports higher earnings and the share price.

This is the core new fundamental driver: record earnings and a fast-growing demand source that directly lifts profit expectations.

  • Cheap funding via digital bonds and debentures SJWD raised up to 1.5 billion baht through debentures and digital bonds at coupons of 2.85%–2.95%. Its first digital bond issue on the Paotang app sold out 500 million baht in just 46 seconds, showing strong investor confidence. Cheap, quickly raised cash funds growth without straining the balance sheet, a positive for the stock.

This shows the company can fund expansion cheaply and that investors are eager to lend to it, reducing financial risk and supporting growth.

  • Rising freight rates and port concession opportunity Krungsri kept a Buy rating with a 12 baht target, noting global freight rates have jumped about 46%–92% this year, which helps SJWD's transport and freight business. It also sees long-term upside if SJWD wins market share from the planned Khlong Toei port relocation and new port concessions. Higher rates and new port business mean more profit.

This identifies two new profit drivers—higher freight pricing and potential port expansion—that analysts say could lift future earnings.

  • Strong Q3 expected, but Alpha REIT asset sale delayed Asia Plus maintained Buy with a 12.50 baht target and expects strong third-quarter profit of 320–360 million baht, up over 25% year-on-year. However, the Alpha group asset sale into a REIT is now expected by mid-2027, later than the market hoped, delaying 100–150 million baht of SJWD's profit share. The delay is a mild negative, but core operations remain strong.

This gives the fair counterweight: near-term earnings are solid, but a hoped-for one-off gain is pushed out, which could temper some investor enthusiasm.

Krungsri keeps Buy on SJWD with 12 baht target on surging freight rates, new port concession hopes

Krungsri Securities said in an analysis dated September 29, 2026 that it holds a positive view on SCG JWD Logistics, or SJWD, maintaining a Buy recommendation with a 2027 target price of 12 baht, driven by rising freight rates. The Baltic Dry Index and the World Container Index have risen about 46% and 92% respectively since the start of the year, while prolonged geopolitical risk is accelerating import-export activity and tightening supply chains, a positive for SJWD's Transport, Freight and Equity Income businesses. Krungsri also sees long-term upside from the plan to relocate the Khlong Toei port to Laem Chabang port, which currently handles about 1.3 million TEU of containers and roughly 1.5 to 2.0 million tonnes of bulk cargo per year. It estimates that for every 5% of market share SJWD gains from Khlong Toei's shipping volume, annual profit would rise about 2%, and there is further opportunity from the new round of concessions for ports A5 and B1-B5 under the Port Authority of Thailand, where existing concessionaires NYT, Evergreen, ESCO and TIPS each average about 300 to 400 million baht in annual profit per port. Krungsri expects SJWD to post normalised profit of about 1.294 billion baht in 2026, up 16.6% from a year earlier, on revenue of about 27.295 billion baht, up 8.5%.

Asia Plus maintains Buy on SJWD with 12.50 baht target, expects strong 3Q69 profit

Asia Plus Securities assessed SJWD after AIMIRT notified the Stock Exchange of Thailand of a plan to invest further in three Alpha group assets: Phanthong, Bang Kadi, and Rangsit, with a combined value of no more than 2.59 billion baht, or total leasable area of more than 126,000 square meters. The transaction is expected to be completed within 2Q70, later than the market had expected in 4Q69, delaying recognition of profit from the asset sale. The research team estimates the deal could generate profit from the sale of about 200 to 300 million baht, and expects SJWD, which holds a 50% stake in the Alpha group, to recognize a share of profit of about 100 to 150 million baht. On the flooding situation in Bangkok and its vicinity, management assesses the impact on business as still limited, affecting only delays in transport on some routes, while all warehouses continue to operate normally. The 3Q69 profit outlook remains strong, with the research team estimating profit in the range of 320 to 360 million baht, growing more than 25% YoY, driven by the B2B Transport, Automotive, and Dangerous Goods businesses. It maintains a Buy recommendation with a fair value of 12.50 baht and views progress in establishing the Alpha REIT fund in early 2570 as a key issue to monitor.
SJWD.BK · Capital · Positive Asia Plus maintains Buy with 12.50 baht fair value and expects strong 3Q69 profit of 320-360 million baht, up over 25% YoY.
4760.JP · Capital · Positive AIMIRT plans to invest up to 2.59 billion baht in three Alpha group assets, with SJWD to recognize 100-150 million baht profit share from the sale.

SJWD expects stronger second-quarter profit from automotive and cold storage businesses

ASL Securities assesses that SJWD will post a better profit in the second quarter of 2026 than in the first quarter, driven by the automotive business benefiting from electric vehicle transport, especially BYD, a cold storage business with a high occupancy rate near 80%, and continued growth in overseas operations. The second half of the year is likely to outperform the first half due to seasonality and revenue recognition from new projects. The company targets a 2026 net profit of more than 1.2 billion baht and a long-term goal of reaching 3 billion baht in 2030, through reducing financial costs by using cash flow to repay debentures and increasing the proportion of low-interest bank loans, alongside a Digital Infrastructure Blueprint project that helps lower selling and administrative expenses. Meanwhile, the cold storage business maintains a high gross margin of nearly 39%, and the freight transport business benefits from recovering shipping freight rates. Although the Middle East conflict causes volatility in oil costs and freight rates, SJWD can pass on costs to customers, so margins are not significantly affected. The company also aims to increase the share of profit from overseas to 40% within two to three years, from nearly 20% currently, through expanding cold storage warehouses in Malaysia and ASEAN, and expects to close one to two merger and acquisition deals in the third to fourth quarter of 2026 to support inorganic growth. In addition, SJWD benefits from megatrends in the electric vehicle supply chain and data centers, providing logistics services to more than 16 car brands, as well as warehousing and logistics for the artificial intelligence and data center industries.
SJWD.BK · Demand · Positive SJWD expects stronger Q2 profit driven by automotive EV transport, cold storage occupancy, and overseas growth.
