日本郵政グループで社員らの収賄事件が相次いで摘発されていることを受け、有識者が抜本的なガバナンス再構築の必要性を警鐘した。警視庁は5月、郵便物取集業務の入札を巡り便宜を図った見返りに賄賂を受け取ったとして日本郵便東京支社の元社員を逮捕し、今月には郵便局建て替え工事の入札で受注できるよう働き掛けたとして日本郵政の元社員を書類送検した。東海大の立原繁名誉教授は、かんぽ生命とゆうちょ銀行の金融2社が収益を支える中で日本郵便の成長が見込めないことからグループ全体のコンプライアンス意識が低下していると指摘し、民営化から約20年が経過して社員の収賄意識が薄れている可能性を挙げ、公共サービスとして抜本的な組織改革によるガバナンス再構築が必要だと述べた。
