天然ガスが2.9%上昇、季節外れの暑さと在庫増加幅の縮小で
米国の天然ガス先物は今週2.9%上昇し、MMBtu当たり2.912ドルで取引を終えた。9月としては異例の暖かさ、電力部門の旺盛な需要、堅調なLNG需要、カナダからの輸入減少が支えとなった。最新のEIA報告によると、9月11日までの週に米国の公益事業者が天然ガスを貯蔵施設に追加した量は440億立方フィートで、アナリスト予想の490億立方フィートを下回り、過去5年平均の740億立方フィートを大きく下回った。在庫は3兆2980億立方フィートとなり、過去5年平均を1180億立方フィート上回るものの、前年同期を1220億立方フィート下回っている。過去5年平均に対する余剰は前週の1480億立方フィートから縮小した。一方、乾性ガス生産は1%減少し、カナダからの輸入は13%落ち込んだ。米国の記録的な生産と天候の冷え込み予想が上昇を抑制した。こうした状況の中、Zacksは天然ガス関連の3銘柄をZacksランク3(ホールド)と評価した。ウィリアムズ・カンパニーズ、レンジ・リソーシズ、エクスパンド・エナジーで、2026年のコンセンサス1株当たり利益予想はそれぞれ前年比21.4%増、27%増、42.8%増を示唆している。
